Waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal method which removes hair from the root. New Hairs will not grow back for several weeks, and becomes finer with repeated waxing.

The process combines spreading a wax thinly over the skin, followed by pressing a cloth or paper strip over the wax which is then ripped off with a quick movement against the direction of hair growth.
